چکیده

Chronic kidney failure is much more common than people realize, and often goes undetected and undiagnosed until the disease is well advanced and k function decreases it affects many other systems of the body mainly the calcium phosphorous metabolism as the metabolism is mainly controlled by kidney in terms of absor of calcium phosphorus. Secondary hyperparathyroidism is usually found in patients with kidney failure and involves all four parathyroid glands. The kidney problems trigger the parathyroid glands into making excess parathyroid hormone (PTH). Here we have reconfirmed the fi of secondary hyperparathyroidism in chronic kidney disease patient

It is described by severe skeletal deformities, high level of PTH in patients with chronic renal failure, and deformed face. This paper reports a 44-year-old male patient with the mentioned characteristics. In addition to the unique clinical features, high levels of ALP and PTH hormon...

Hyperparathyroidism.

Hyperparathyroidism is due to increased activity of the parathyroid glands, either from an intrinsic abnormal change altering excretion of parathyroid hormone (primary or tertiary hyperparathyroidism) or from an extrinsic abnormal change affecting calcium homoeostasis stimulating production of parathyroid hormone (secondary hyperparathyroidism). Primary hyperparathyroidism is the third most com...

Hyperparathyroidism: An Overview

The four parathyroid glands, normally located behind the four poles of the thyroid gland, secrete parathyroid hormone (PTH), which regulates extracellular calcium levels. Hyperparathyroidism, which can be primary, secondary, tertiary or quaternary, results in excess production of PTH. Excessive PTH secretion may be due to hyper-function in the glands themselves, in which case it is referred to ...
